Boy Scout Troop 605 will host a garden tractor pull at the Ohio County Fairgrounds July 25. Weigh-in will begin at noon. The pulling will begin about 2 P.M. These amazing tractors are not your typical garden tractors. They have up to 54 H.P. engines and pull a weight-transfer sled like the big tractors. In the past we’ve had several tractors pull right out of the arena!
Several classes of tractors will run. The 2009 SITPI (Southern Indiana Tractor Pullers, Inc.) classes are:
1) 10 HP stock
2) 14 HP
3) 16 HP stock
4) Big Stock
5) 30 cubic inch
6) Outlaw
7) Superstock
ProStock
9) Open
The gate fee is $5 per person. Children 12 and under are free with an adult. Proceeds benefit Rising Sun Boy Scout Troop 605. The Troop also will operate the concession stand and sell hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, drinks, sno-cones, candy, and popcorn. Join us for an exciting afternoon of tractor pulling and support a good cause at the same time.
