Come down to the Pavilion on Saturday, August 8 at 8:15 am to take part in the TV show ‘Great Lifestyles’ for their spot called ‘Neighborhoods (Get Out and Go)’ on Channel 64. It is an 8-minute section featuring Rising Sun. It will be aired four times, twice on the Sunday morning slot at 11:00 am and twice on their Saturday overnight slot at 12:30am throughout this year’s season.  The segment will also be available on the Channel 64 website.  The City of Rising Sun sponsored this event, so we will be able to put it on our Rising Sun websites, too.  This will be used to promote our assets.
We are asking anyone and everyone to come out for this taping. We want to show off the pride we have in our community by filling our sidewalks. So if you want to possibly be on television come on down.
Rising Sun Ohio County Tourism and the Historic Downtown Program will be providing free biscuits and gravy breakfast starting at 8:00 am.  It will be served at the new Tourism office, which is located in the Lion’s Club building (118-120 Main Street).
