James Whitcomb Riley Comes to Rising Sun for a Dinner Program

James Whitcomb Riley is one of Indiana’s best known authors. Jeff Kuehl, a regular performer at the Indiana Repertory Theatre for eleven years, portrays Mr. Riley for this program. we will have a brief history of Mr. Riley’s early life including his frustrating musical career. An Old Sweetheart of Mine, Little Orpahant Anne, Raggedy Man, Jack the Giant Killer, will be some of the poems Jeff will recite.

The dinner and program will be held at the renovated Heritage Hall on Main Street. Please be sure to visit the museum before or after the program to view the special exhibit The Golden Age: Indiana Literature, 1880-1920.

Cost of the dinner program is $12.00 for members and $15.00 for nonmembers Program only (7:30) is $4.00 for members and $5.00 for nonmembers.

Registration deadline is October 14.
